The role of the ITO onboard the ships is to ensure the stable operation of the computer and communication networks, thereby providing corporate users and passengers efficient access to all IT systems. This includes working with the corporate office in planning, developing, installing, configuring, maintaining, supporting and optimizing all network hardware, software and communication links.
As an ITO, you could work on a range of vessels from cargo ships and large vessels to passenger cruises and superyachts.
